NHVR Industry webinar - Friday 16 August 10:00 - 11.00am
Join the NHVR and key industry representatives for a live-streamed webinar to hear what one Regulator and one rule book will mean for the heavy vehicle industry from 1 September.
Australia’s first Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) will commence on 10 February 2014. Join the NHVR at our local government and industry forums in metro and regional locations around Australia, to hear what One Regulator, one rule book will mean for you.
For local government, NHVR staff will outline in practical detail:
Heavy vehicle drivers will be freed from unnecessary paperwork with the release of the new National Driver Work Diary, scheduled to roll out today with the new Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
Australia’s openness to the idea of high productivity vehicle design has gained it international attention, but a complex approval process and on-going political quarrel have long held it back. Where are we standing now?
Prime Mover magazine published a national PBS fleet report in December 2015 that explored the beginning of the PBS to its growth today.
The NHVR and the South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) have commenced the return of all SA heavy vehicle permit processing back to the NHVR during 2017.
On 10 April 2017 the DPTI handed back the processing of Class 3 heavy vehicle permit applications for South Australia to the NHVR.
Class 3 vehicle operators travelling within South Australia will now need to apply for permits through the NHVR.
The NHVR has welcomed the extension of Adelaide’s pre-approved heavy vehicle network with access to an additional 27kms from Monday.
NHVR Access Operation Supervisor Sean Pederick said the pre-approvals of 33 additional roads across Adelaide’s northern and western suburbs would slash permit application times and allow the continued safe movement of heavy vehicles up to 30 metres in length.
“The extension of the pre-approval network will result in a further reduction in permit turnaround times for South Australia’s oversize, over mass freight industry,” Mr Pederick said.
